i have no excuse for not writing except for the amazing weather we were having. before that, well... let's just say, due to the end of the winter season, i had no business sharing the negative cloud that surrounded my being! yes, that is sad and probably wrong, but it is the reality of the situation.
however... now is a different story. we have had a wonderful time playing outside and enjoying the sunshine. Cooper celebrated his first birthday (though he still isn't walking!), and Sophia celebrated her 4th birthday! Oh, and Butch celebrated his thirty-something birthday. As of now, all is well.
today we are really thankful that Sophia survived her bike trek into the creek! our conversation about the event went as follows...
"Why didn't you scream as you were going off the bank?"
"I wasn't afraid."
"Why not?"
"I thought it would be fun to ride into the creek!"
thank You, God, for keeping the kiddos safe.
